A broad coalition of community organizations has come together to bring to Boulder a traveling exhibition from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC titled "Nazi Persecution of Homosexuals 1933-1945." This exhibition will be on display April 21, 2011 through May 22, 2011 at the Boulder Public Library (1001 Arapahoe Avenue, Boulder, CO 80302).
A young gay man walks down Pearl street seeing dozens and dozens of flags hung in the windows of every shop and restaurant. He realizes that, even if the world might not be a perfect place right now, that we are slowly moving in the right direction. For him, that flag doesn’t represent Pride. It represents Hope. For him, Hope is a right.
Out Boulder County is hosting a Volunteer Training on June 14th at 6:30 p.m. in the Longmont Office (630 Main Street, Longmont). Please plan to attend if you are a new volunteer, planning to help with Longmont Pride, or just want a refresher course. We hope to finish by 8 p.m.
