Frank Kogen (he-him-his)
Frank Kogen is a grateful member of Out Boulder County’s Board of Directors. Frank was born in Chicago, raised in Houston, and earned an MBA at Tulane University before moving to Los Angeles at the height of the AIDS crisis in the late 80s. He was a founding member of AIDS Project Los Angeles and AmFAR before moving to New York in the early 1990s where he continued working on the front lines of HIV awareness and gay rights as a member of ActUp, Gay Men’s Health Crisis, and God’s Love We Deliver. Today Frank lives with his partner Cacy and their two akitas in Longmont, teaches writing at CU/Boulder, and works hard to continue his legacy of activism through BCAP and Out Boulder County, fighting for inclusiveness and human rights for all.
